Background

The popular Disney Channel show and star "Hannah Montana," began in 2006 when 12 year old Miley Cyrus tried out for the part of Miley Stuart. The show began with the theme song, "The Best of Both Worlds," which perfectly describes the plot of the show. Miley Stuart, a Malibu teenager, lives with an older brother and her dad. She has two best friends and a double life as pop-star "Hannah Montana," with a signature blond wig and tons of fans. She struggles with keeping her other life a secret, so she stay a normal girl.   1. Hannah Montana/ Miley Stuart:

  2. Lily:

    Lily, played by Emily Osmet, is one of Miley Stuart’s best friends. They do almost everything together.

  3. Oliver:

    Oliver, Miley Stuart’s other best friend, is played by Mitchel Musso. Throughout the show, there is some chemistry between Oliver and Lily.

  4. Rico:

    Rico is the cause of many conflicts in the show. He plays the role of the “pest” He is very young but very smart, so he skipped a few grades. Rico is played by Moises Arias.

  5. Jackson:

    Jackson is played by Jason Earles. He plays the role of Miley’s brother. They fight but they have their moments. Jackson works for Rico and there are minor conflicts between them at times.

  6. Robby Ray Stewart:

    Robby Ray is Miley’s father both in and outside of the show. He is played by Billy Ray Cyrus. He and Miley are very close in the show. He doubles as Hannah Montana’s manager.
